Controlling mice is not as easy as it is said. You cannot simply ask them to leave. If you set traps for them, they outsmart them and at times it lands up to be cruel for people. If you use poison, you have chances that your pet may find and eat the deceased mouse, or even may unknowingly eat the poison. The result is nothing but quiet mouse laughter. Then how to get rid of mice? The answer is that your house needs tweaking in a natural way.

The use of odor as a repellant actually works. The smell of ammonia and mothballs leaves a scent which the mice stay away from. But mothball and ammonia also produces a smell which people do not like and stay away from it. Other nice smell repellant which mouse abhor is peppermint. Laying peppermint in place where mice stays will help you to get rid of mice. Cotton balls can also be saturated with peppermint and kept. Smell of onion or plantation of onion in the backyard garden also helps to get rid of mice. There odor is not liked by mice.

It is said that cats were originally domestic help to get rid of mice. A house which has a cat is less likely to have mice. But this option is not liked by lots of people. Some people are allergic to cats, others may not like cats. Some cats hunt mice and others might even initiate your problem by bringing mice in your house. Then you need a dog to get rid of your cat.

The scent of fox helps in getting mice out of the house. It is believes that a fox will make the mice stay away. But you do not need to keep a fox in your house; you just need to keep its urine. Simply spray for urine in place from where mice enter from. Mice moves quickly by this. It can be available in bottles as mice deterrent. But it is an awkward situation.
